Lorenzo Busoni è ricercatore tecnologo presso INAF-Osservatorio Astrofisico di Arcetri nel gruppo di Ottica Adattiva.
Dal 2005 si occupa di strumentazione di Ottica Adattiva per i grandi telescopi ottici da terra. Ha partecipato alla realizzazione dei sistemi FLAO e ARGOS al Large Binocular Telescope ed è attualmente impegnato nello sviluppo di MORFEO, il sistema di Ottica Adattiva Multiconiugato per il futuro telescopio europeo ELT.

ATTIVITÀ DI RICERCA
Mi occupo dello sviluppo di strumentazione di ottica adattiva per l'astronomia, nei ruoli di AO Scientist, System Engineer o Software Engineer. Dal 2005 ho partecipato alla realizzazione di alcuni dei sistemi più evoluti in questo campo, come gli specchi secondari adattivi del Large Binocular Telescope e il sensore di fronte d'onda a piramide del sistema FLAO. Ho curato il disegno e la realizzazione dei sensori a stella laser del sistema ARGOS e sono attualmente impegnato nel disegno del modulo di ottica adattiva MAORY per il futuro telescopio europeo ELT
