Learning Objectives
Knowledge acquired:
Observational and physical properties of normal and active galaxies. Cosmological evolution of galaxies, active galactic nuclei and black holes.
Competence acquired: to be able to provide a physical interpretation of galaxy spectra and images, and of luminosity functions of sources.
Skills acquired (at the end of the course): to be able to follow seminars and read literature papers; to be able to perform analysis and modeling of spectroscopical and imaging data.
